When the lead-acid battery is actually exported, it can be divided into dangerous goods battery and non-dangerous goods battery. The former still needs to provide the dangerous package certificate when exporting, and the latter can be exempted from the dangerous package certificate. The batteries identified as dangerous goods mainly refer to the batteries containing acid, which are classified as Class 8 in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code; Non dangerous goods battery mainly refers to the battery with plastic shell and internal series lead plate, but no acid solution is added inside.
Lead acid batteries exported from Hong Kong can be exempted from the dangerous package certificate. When Hong Kong exports, the booking documents required to be provided includes:
1. MSDS in Chinese and English version
2. Battery identification report
